Mit der steigenden Anzahl vernetzter Systeme und dem zunehmenden Datenaustausch entstehen neue und vielf\u00e4ltige M\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr Angreifer:innen, Schwachstellen in Softwareprodukten auszunutzen. Gleichzeitig verpflichten neue gesetzliche Vorgaben wie der Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) Unternehmen dazu, die Sicherheit ihrer Software nachhaltig zu verbessern und Sicherheitsaspekte bereits fr\u00fchzeitig in den Entwicklungsprozess zu integrieren.<\/p><p>Mit dem Forschungsprojekt KIBA (KI-gest\u00fctzte Integration zur automatischen Bedrohungsanalyse) geht das Fraunhofer IEM der Frage nach, wie generative KI-Systeme Unternehmen bei der Bedrohungsanalyse unterst\u00fctzen k\u00f6nnen. Ziel ist es, den manuellen Aufwand zu reduzieren, Sicherheitsrisiken fr\u00fchzeitig zu erkennen und die Entwicklung sicherer Software langfristig zu erleichtern.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Bedrohungen fr\u00fchzeitig erkennen und bewerten<\/span><\/h4><p>Regelm\u00e4\u00dfige, umfassende Bedrohungsmodellierung spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Entwicklung sicherer Software. Sie erm\u00f6glicht, potenzielle Schwachstellen und Angriffsszenarien fr\u00fch zu identifizieren, risikobasiert zu priorisieren und daraus geeignete Sicherheitsanforderungen sowie Gegenma\u00dfnahmen abzuleiten. Werden diese bereits zu Beginn des Entwicklungsprozesses ber\u00fccksichtigt, lassen sich Sicherheitsl\u00fccken h\u00e4ufig vermeiden, bevor sie sp\u00e4ter aufwendig behoben werden m\u00fcssen.<\/p><p>In der Praxis sto\u00dfen viele Entwicklungsteams jedoch hier an ihre Grenzen. H\u00e4ufig fehlen Zeit, personelle Ressourcen oder spezifisches Fachwissen, um Bedrohungsanalysen effektiv und kontinuierlich umzusetzen. Dadurch bleiben potenzielle Risiken mitunter unentdeckt oder werden erst in sp\u00e4ten Entwicklungsphasen bekannt.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Generative KI als Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Entwicklungsteams<\/span><\/h4><p>Das Forschungsprojekt KIBA untersucht, inwieweit sich generative KI-Systeme wie ChatGPT oder GitHub Copilot eignen, um Bedrohungsanalysen zu automatisieren und langfristig in den Entwicklungsprozess zu integrieren.\u00a0 Die KI soll Entwicklungsteams dabei unterst\u00fctzen, potenzielle Angriffsszenarien fr\u00fchzeitig zu identifizieren und Sicherheitsanforderungen systematisch abzuleiten.<\/p><p>Dabei steht nicht der Ersatz menschlicher Expertise im Vordergrund, sondern ihre gezielte Unterst\u00fctzung. Durch die Kombination aus menschlichem Fachwissen und KI-gest\u00fctzten Analysen sollen Sicherheitsprozesse effizienter gestaltet und die Wirksamkeit kontinuierlicher Bedrohungsanalysen verbessert werden. So leistet das Projekt einen Beitrag dazu, Softwareprodukte resilienter gegen\u00fcber Cyberangriffen zu machen und Unternehmen bei der Umsetzung zuk\u00fcnftiger Sicherheitsanforderungen zu
