Retrospective: AI-based engineering in the SmartFactory
How is artificial intelligence already changing product development, production, and service processes today? Answers to this question were provided at the specialist event “AI-based engineering in the SmartFactory,” hosted by the “High-Performance Center Engineering Automation” at SmartFactoryOWL on June 26.

the applications presented are not a dream of the future, but are already economically viable and ready for use today. Many companies from OWL have already taken their first steps with AI – from the automation of repetitive tasks to the intelligent use of data.
The Engineering Automation High-Performance Center combines the expertise of Fraunhofer IEM, Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, the University of Paderborn, the University of Bielefeld, and TH OWL with the aim of quickly translating current research into practice.
